Flash Workshop Procedure
Introduction - What We're Making [Annoying Huh?]
Part One - Illustrator
- Make a folder for your work today
- Show a sketch design
- Open Illustrator - make some eyes quickly - use templates
- Organise Layers
Part Two - Flash Import
- Import to Stage - Apple-R
- MovieClips/ Text/ Vectors/ Etc
- make Flash Stage the Size of the Art File
- Save the File - bannerDemoAnim.fla
- Examine the stage objects - names in Library
- Check the Layers/ Timeline - Let's keep main timeline to a single frame
- Lock idle layers to address the eye graphic
- Collect All eye Parts and turn into Mc
- Delete and Rename Layers Ready to start animating
Part Three - Animating Your Art
- Animate Pupil - double click Eye clip to get inside.
- Motion Tween - moving the Pupil
- Change Frame Rate - 18fps
- 36 frames in the TImeline - F5
- Select Pupil - make motion tween/ All objects are distributed to layers
- Rename your layers
- Create Motion Tween
- In Timeline add keyframes to do the action you want
- Save and test the movie
- The Motion Path - explain and edit to a curve/ Add some scaling
- Shape Tween - eyelid closing
- Get the raw shape in the first keyframe
- Create the shape tween and edit the shape with the black arrow
- Back to the main timeline, make two eyes and test the movie
- Animate the text
- Use the 3D tools
Part Four - Make A Link
- Make a new layer on the main timeline
- Drag out a rectangle
- Hit F8 on the KeyBd to Convert to Symbol
- Choose the Button option/ OK
- In the Properties panel give the button an instance name
- Double click the button to enter its timeline
- drag the first keyframe to the last and return to the main timeline
- Create one more layer - Actions
- Open the actions panel and type the following…
- Test the movie and see if it goes to the link. There may be security restrictions
Part Five - Publish Your Animation
- Explain the Publish Settings
- Publish - Apple F12 to open in a browser
- Create a new site in dreamweaver
- Open HTML and test in a browser
- Open your index.html page
- Add the SWF file
